Consistent – in agreement or consistent or reliable; the same throughout in structure or composition. (Webster Dictionary)
In this journey called LIFE I am learning that being consistent is very important. It reveals our true character and as a woman of God, my character must reflect His character. And my LORD is extremely consistent.
It is impossible to be faithful and not be consistent; they go hand-in-hand. You cannot have one without the other.
Brethren, we must be consistent in our love for God and His people. We must be consistent in our words, actions and beliefs. People are looking for something real and our LORD is real, but so many times we make Him look real bad by our own inconsistent behaviors.
Our word should carry tremendous weight and people should be able to depend on us as lovers of Jesus.
Some Scriptures that can only be walked out in our daily lives as a result of being consistent are 1 Cor 15:58, Luke 16:13, 1 Cor 10:21,
Matt 6:24,1 John 2:27, 1 John 2:3-11, etc.
Many churches are struggling and Pastors are discouraged because of inconsistent, carnal, and selfish members. When we are consistent we don’t run when things become tough, we grab hold of God’s word and let Him carry us through trials.
Let this new year be about self-examination and truly looking at our character. Are we consistent? Can people depend on us? Are we reliable? Do we really fear God? Can God really trust you?
Let TRUTH set us free!
