We woke up at 7am, still fighting jet lag, yet pressing on in the strength of Jesus.  I enjoyed watching my American sons drinking Kenyan coffee and eating Kenyan food with their hands. My heart leaps with joy to see them with Claxon, who is Kenyan, as he shares his roots with much pride and adoration. He is an historian at heart and loves his nation, in spite of all its issues.

As we moved around the city of Nairobi to shop for clean water we could drink and other food items, my American sons seem to wonder why there were security guards searching us as we entered stores, businesses and shops. The reality of this being a terrorist pron nation really hit them. They are not use to seeing guards walking around with machine guns, assault rifles and machetes.

We drove downtown and foundourselves surrounded by street boys, ranging ages 7-16, walking around with bottles of commercial grade glue stuck to their mouths for continuous sniffing. They are addicted and they need it to stay warm and avoid hunger pains. They live in dumps, caves, trash piles and under bridges. Their life span is five years once they become addicted. My American sons saw their first dead body just lying on the street; and it will remain there for couple of days as people walk by doing what they do.

God granted us the opportunity to minister to a couple of boys who were willing to listen. They have hope of returning to school one day.

We met a few Mothers with babies on their backs, walking and  begging  for money to get milk for babies, but really wanting glue. They would try to hide glue bottles under their sleeves as they beg. One Mother did not have any kids with her, she threw them away as she gave birth…..they were boys.  We loved her. We brought milk for baby Clinton , child of another young Mom. We loved them and prayed with them.

My heart aches with compassion.  I never knew that compassion could ache but it does.

I say to my beloved brethren in Christ Jesus, rise up and either GO, SEND or DISOBEY God’s word. These are the only three choices for believers. His word is clear.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”   Matthew 25:31-36

And I challenge you to read verses 37-46 for the fullness of what our LORD is saying to us.

We have a lot of ground to cover this week, those of you who have been covering us, thank you and keep the prayers coming.

Laying it all down for Him,

Eseosa Rain
