THE POWER OF TOUCH

The power of touch is profound. It heals, communicates, influences, calms and encourages. Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies, even though many of us don’t think of it as an organ. It literally holds God’s most precious and complex creation together. It is the pathway for touch.

Touch is as important as food and security. Touch is powerful! Newborns that are given nurturing touch grow faster and have more improved mental and motor skill development. Children raised with constant physical interaction tend to be less violent.

Orphans, especially, NEED tender loving touches. The holding of their hands, hugs, kisses, rubbing their tiny noses, playing with their toes, and just holding them close will make a world of difference.

I love serving Happy Life Children’s Home in Nairobi Kenya, where consistent volunteers are needed daily to simply come and hold the infants, toddlers and children. There is not enough hands and arms to go around. Orphans arrive weekly due to abandonment.  I’ve come to realize that simply loving on God’s orphans has done miracles in my own heart. I am literally healing one touch at a time.

PLEASE consider visiting Happy Life Children’s Home in Nairobi Kenya or sponsoring a baby or simply making a life changing donation. Go to

You can also donate to http://www.KAECmissions.com and help us to continue making the journey to hold, hug, feed, bathe and nurture the children. As well as carry much needed supplies.

James 1:27 is an amazing mandate and it’s truly God’s heart.
