When we are deceived we believe wholeheartedly we are correct; and no one can tell us anything different from what we believe to be true. And once we make that stubborn stance, we open the door for the father of lies (satan) to come in and present us with the evidence we need to prove our correctness. Satan knows how to layer it on by using the voices of others to “confirm” our own self-deception. Living in the last days as a follower of Jesus Christ is troubling , to say the least, because so many of His followers are deceived. Why? the lack of the knowledge of God and His infallible WORD, Hypocrisy, Love of Babylon , Cowardliness, Perversion, Rebellion, Worldliness, Entertainment, etc.
When we are deceived we are convinced that we are 100% accurate and on the side of truth, when in reality we are wrong, inaccurate and not on the side of truth….how scary is that!
Eve was deceived and fell into transgression according to God’s word of truth in the Book of Genesis. God tells us in James 1:16, do not be deceived my beloved brethren. And he goes on to tell us that every good and perfect gift comes from above….from the Father of lights….” In other words, James is saying that there is NOTHING good for us outside of God’s will.
However, many have convinced themselves that they are in God’s will with their many compromising lifestyles, conversations and decisions. And as long as they can get other “lukewarm” believers on board to agree with them, then it MUST be from God.
If we would really study God’s word and commune with Holy Spirit for understanding, we would notice that there is a pattern of deduction throughout the Bible. Simply put…God always performs His awesome miracles, signs and wonders with less human influence. So why do we convince ourselves we are right by gathering our own followers to agree and high-five our deception. It is dangerous to follow the majority, especially in the world we live in. True Eagles soar higher….alone…..selah.
“It does not matter how good something looks, how happy it makes you, how much fun it is, how rich and successful you will become, how deeply spiritual it appears, how sensible it seems, how popular or accepted it is, and the list goes on. If something is contrary to the Wisdom or Word of GOD, it will ultimately be detrimental and bring sorrow to your life”.
There is a lot going on in our chaotic culture and followers of Jesus Christ MUST take a step back and STOP and really examine our lives, hearts, relationships, beliefs, decisions, and compare every aspect of our lives against the teachings of Jesus Christ. We need to ask ourselves the hard questions and answer with TRUTH. What does our Messiah teach us to do in our everyday lives, as believers and children of Abba Father?
We MUST Fast, Pray and Feast on God’s word daily and diligently; while being transformed from the inside out. We must be willing to walk away from other people who will not make the decision to “die to self” in order to gain life in Christ Jesus. And DO THE WORD, not give lip service.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” Gal 6:7
Deception is deceiving! We are looking and acting just like the world because of deception. Our lives are not our own! We have been brought with a great price, if we are truly His. We cannot do what we want to do! There….I said it.
Warning: The entitled, new age, do their own thing believers are bothered by this blog right about now. And you should be because darkness hate light and they cannot co-exist.
Father God have mercy on us and help us to sincerely cry out to You with an heart of humility and repentance. Expose deception for what it is in our lives and set free Your sons and daughters who really want freedom and restoration. Thank You for Truth! In Jesus Name AMEN.
